I'm new and my computer went dead today.

I called Toshiba and they told me that it was internal, which leads me to believe it is the hard drive.

Where is the hard drive located on a Toshiba A205-S4607 and which would you guys recommend me purchase to replace my fried one?

It froze. I tried to restart it and the screen went black and read "Disk Reading Error." I tried a system restore and at the point where the screen was supposed to display options, it goes blank. The lady from Toshiba told me it was internal, which leads me to believe it is hard drive related.
 
yea that could be a number of things. does the motherboard beep?

any other details you noticed that might be of some help?

for all we know you have it set to a resolution that your monitor can't handle lol...

my guess is your video card, or more likely you ram is malfunctioning. hope so because replacing your hard drive means losing all your songs movies etc.. and any programs that you've gotten rid of the disc for.

I'm not sure if this will hep, but if you can get into DOS than type in chkdsk. I had a problem similar to yours once and that fixed it.
