I turned my computer on a couple days ago and it went to a black screen with a message about a corrupt Windows file, and instructed me to insert the Windows cd and hit 'r' at the first screen to attempt to repair the problem. I did this, and once it was complete, I had to start over with absolutely NOTHING! All the files/programs I had on my previous account are gone!! It began a new administrator account and there was no option of my old account. I reallllly hope there is a way to get back to that account, because I had a lot of files that I needed. Anybody have any idea if it is possible to, in a way, reverse what I did? HELP!!

wow that really sucks.

not be a jackass but i hope this showed you that backing up your system or just your important files saves you from this situation of data loss.

and trust me... i learned the hard way also.

That bites luckly im really good at back ups recomend getting an external HDD and storing important data on that . that way if the comp's HDD goes bust your important data is sweet
