i have just bought from e bay a Gigabyte GA-7DPXDW Motherboard and 2 Athlon 2200+ CPU's and 4 gig of ram with a 256 gforce 6600 graphics card will this make a good gaming computer
The answer is NO. You just wasted your money. The 6600 is a very low end range video card. You bought an old socket 462 motherboard. If you play very low end games, you'll get by, but not if you plan on playing today's games.

Not by todays standards. The Athlon 2200 is P4 class CPU. Dual CPU board is good but the CPU architecture is a bit dated. Same with the geForce 6600. Nice card but they are a a bit dated now. Now this all depends on your idea of a "gaming" computer. Decent rig for GP computing and light gaming. It'd make a good file server as well.
Hope you didn't pay too much for it though, it is 6yo+ technology.
