Help!

i recently bought a gtx 560 ti and it was installed in my pc and idk the performance was disappointing so i was wondering what would happen when i changed its slot so i did then the hardware was not recognized with drivers installed so i changed it back and now everything turns on like all my fans and gpu and heatsink but my monitor stays black and goes into standby mode..

when i unplug it from the videocard it says no vga connection.

i changed card to my hd 5770 1gb and still the same problem how do i know what is damaged so i can fix it?


my specs are:
MOBO: ASrock 870 extreme3
CPU: AMD athlon ii x4 640
GPU: GTX 560 ti CU (ASUS)
PSU: Seasonic 620w bronze 80 plus
HDD: Western digital 500gb 7500rpm

Try resetting the cmos by unplugging the tower, remove the cmos battery from the motherboard, press the power button on the case a few times to discharge any remaining power then wait a few minutes then reinsert the battery and plug tower back in and try booting up with card in place.

i did this all and still black screen
i tried both videocards and each ram chip to see it it was ram but nop

so i guess its fried?
 
How long was the unit unplugged with the CMOS battery out? Did you hold the power button once the battery had been removed to be sure there was no residual power?

i had it unplugged for about 5 - 10 minutes and ye i checked for residual power :S

Do you have another video card to test it with? It would be a shame to jump to a bad mobo without thoroughly testing that and another PSU.
 
i took it to the shop that i bought it at and they changed the onboard battery for free and it was fixed
