I'm wanna build a new pc but confuse on the GPU and Graphic gard....
between amd X2 and FX.... which one is better?

and radeon 9550 vs GeForce FX 5500 which one better...

Dual-core if you're multitasking.
SIngle cores rule in gaming.
Both cards suck. If you're getting socket 939, at least pci-express gfx cards, and cheapest decent one would be a 6600gt.

depends on what you are doing with the computer. FX will perform a lot better in games since games are single threaded and take advantage of the faster single core. however multithreaded applications such as some adobe products take advantage of executing multiple threads at once.

the radeon 9550 is better than the geforce fx5500.

"Sensor information including system, CPU and GPU temperature, fan status, CPU, GPU, AGP and DRAM voltage monitoring, S.M.A.R.T. disk health status. Support for Corsair Xpert memory modules."

the only temp sensor it triggers is the hard drive on my laptop. if you're not getting a gpu temperature, try either speedfan or sisoft.

It may be a typo, and that may be why noone has pointed it out, but to be clear i think you meant to type CPU, as in central processing unit, not gpu, which is Graphics Processor Unit and is the same thing as a graphics card.

As of yet pci-e is not a huge jump from agp, new cards still dont use all the bandwidth available to them. The best of pci-e currently is sli

This wont hold true for much longer, games taking advantage of both cores will be more common, there are already many multithreaded games

The fact that games are single core is not the reason why fx is better.

well neither of those are videocards (or gpus for that matter). they both refer to CPUs... have a look at CPU 101.

Even tho 99% of people wont notice a difference if they go dualcore for gaming...

FX will perform a lot better in games since games are single threaded and take advantage of the faster single core
Except
1. People wont notice difference between 130fps and 140fps
2. That doesnt apply to multithreaded games

anyone know any software that can monitor graphic card temperature?
Neither of those cards have thermal diodes so it wont matter (unless you happen to have a temeperature probe)

The fact that games are single core is not the reason why fx is better.
Single threaded ... not single cored...
