wow i havent been on here in so long...so yo

anyway i have a question.....i have a emachines t2596 celeron D oced to 2.85 from 2.49 it has a biostar MOBO and 256mb of ram

now will it be alot faster if i upgrade RAM? or should i just say o screw it and make a new build for say $500 bucks

yeah that is definitely an 'OVER'CLOCK, not worth it most of the time to build onto older PC's, manufacturers will rip you off and screw you over when it comes upgrade time

lol......yeaaa just a little overclocked...thats as far as i can go tho....the hard drives ganna melt if i go any farther lol

yea i can build a way better one for $500 then i can buy for $800...any suggestions for i build then...ive never done one....thinking of intel E6300 or amd 4200 X2...but i still need mobo and all that...so any suggestions would be great

Weren't you going to buy mine for $500? :P

Anyway... $500 is pretty slim for a brand new build, and yours isn't bad by any means. Does it have PCI-E? If so, what card are you running? If you put 3/5 of that towards more ram and a nice card, you could get quite a bit more life out of it, and you could use the parts when you do decide on a new build.

uhhhhh i cant remember i havent been on for like 3 months lol.....i dont think this has a card...i think im just using the MOBOs

Yeah, Core 2 Duo all the way, AMD has just got served. C2D's will OC massively, IF they are in the right mobo and cooling + just a tad bit of user know-how. I have a Dell, it came with 256Mb RAM and a 2.8Ghz P4(nonHT) for $800 < what kind off rip-off is that, I do NOT buy my PC's anymore.

Again, $500 isn't much. If you have PCI-E on your Mobo I'd buy a nice card and as much RAM as you can have, and then use that when you save up some more money for a real build.

ok thanks....anyone know what the duos are coming down to on apirl 22nd?

and pohtaytoez do you have to pay to beon that 133tsig thing?
