Ok this is a weird one. I've come across people talking talking about it in other forums and nothing worked so hopefully someone here can help me out. Sorry in advance for the long post.
My girlfriend just bought a new HP lappy. It has a Broadcom a/b/g wireless card in it. It has Vista Home on it. If you guys need other info I can get it but I'm not going to put it all down right now. She has a linksys router in her house. The internet works fine with her computer off the internet (ie, disabled wireless connection, wireless card off, or computer off). Then when she turns on her wireless (even if she is plugged into the LAN and it is running off of that) nobody in the house can browse the internet. Messaging programs (aim msn etc) still work and download (utorrent) still work but opening firefox or ie doesn't get you anywhere but a problem loading page. Sometimes it works for like 30 seconds and then the internet seizes for everyone. Its really weird. If she goes and turns off her wireless again... after a minute everything works for other people again. Is this an issue with settings? Tried the most recent drivers. Her dad and brother both have hp laptops as well and her dad's has an a/b/g card so I have no idea what it could be. Any... and I mean ANY ideas would be greatly appreciated cuz this one's got me stumped.
Thanks guys
