helping friend with laptop

i have a friend with a laptop and her laptop has built in wireless B and she wanted me to set up her wireless for her but i couldnt because she had formatted the whole HD and installed a fresh copy of windows XP SP2 so she wiped all her drivers on the laptop and didnt have a cd with them on (she got it from her friend) and i checked the acer website (make of laptop) to find the drivers for her laptop but i couldnt find support/downloads for her laptop i tried everywhere also i tried to install the driver by going into device manager and clicking on the wireless card but windows update couldnt find it. any help
 
download a program like everest home edition and use that to find out what model the wireless card is. After you've done that google the card and see if you can come up with drivers directly from the manufacturer of the card.
 
or u cud just enter the command prompt and enter systeminfo

at the bottom u can get the model of the wireless network card and then google it
