Helppppppp!! Drivers!!!

ok i got me a gigabyte radeon 9550 256 mb ddr graphics card. to replace my ati readeon 9200 se. so, i un-installed the 9200s drivers, and the ati control panel thing. Then i tunred of my comp, switched the cards. comp turns on, windows trys to automatically install the card. It says there was a error and a file cant be found. ok... so i put in the cd with the drivers that came with the card. it gives me a errror telling me to first install generic drivers for the card. so i go on ATI's site, download their newest drivers, it gives me the same fkin error. HELP PLZ!

Try using a driver cleaner to get rid of any bits of the old driver. http://www.drivercleaner.net/

try installing the old drivers, from the old graphics card.

look around on ATI's website, ive had issues like this. Somewhere on their website, they have a page telling you how to get rid of every last little byte of data from ATI. Once youve done that, install the new drivers.
