Thats a good build pretty much the same as mine. The motherboard is a good one no problems with it at all. and i would get the 3800+ instead of the 3500+. And what brand 7600GT are you getting.

850 $ not including shipping. I plan to buy a new keyboard, mouse, 17 inch widescreen monitor, new computer desk, new speakers, new router, and a list of games. Ugh, Im going to be working for a while lol :D

here is the exact specs on the video card

Althought that's a pretty good price, I'm building a Conroe system, 7900GT, 2GB RAM, AntecNeoHE 500 PSU, E6300 CPU, Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 Motherboard, for around $940 including shipping. That's a pretty big step from your build to mine, and it's only $90 more...

Im not sure what you mean what brand, everything about the video card is posted above, It is a nvidia geforce 7 series if that what your asking???

Rambo, what site are you ordering this from?? The only thing about your system and mine is Im ordering from ibuypower.com, so its prebuilt, meaning me not building it myself........

By brand they mean is it an eVGA, XFX, BFG, ASUS or some other brand, since ATi nor nVidia sell directly. Usually they just send reference cards to sites and magazines for review after which they can send 'em back or sell 'em.

AAAAAHHHHHHHHH, NNNOOOOOOO!!!!!! :P
Dude build it yourself, $940 for a conroe build with a 7900gt and the experience of building a comp yourself  , don't fall for ibowers seduction.

NewEgg is the e-tailer I'm buying from. I have now round all the items together for a $853 Conroe setup (excluding postage)!

Here is it wicked859:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86GHz - $220

Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 - $150

Patriot 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM - $180

Recertified: eVGA GeForce 7900GT - $203

Antec SmartPower 2.0 SP-500 ATX12V 500W Power Supply - $70

BenQ Black DVD+/-RW Burner - $30

=================================

Total
$853 EXC. MIR's
$830 INC. MIR's

Wicked859, you can go with your prebuilt AMD system. It's not a bad deal, but you can build your system for much cheaper and get a much more powerful system. The above totals at just $850 for a Conroe setup!! I think that is amazing, don't you?

He means what company is distributing your GPU. For example, you have BFG Tech, eVGA, XFX, etc... i.e, The brand of this 7900GT (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814130032) is eVGA ;)

Well guys, building a pc myself would be a great experienc, especially since I want to be a computer engineer 0_0!!! The only thing is my parents have it in their head that I cant do it myself, and that it is so hard.......Ive told them, even showed them how simple it would be but, they wont have it so therefore Im left with buying a prebuilt system *sigh*, and when vista comes out early 2007 im thinking......Ill get another gig of ram

o btw: yea rambo it is pretty amazing, I see intel is taking the lead with the conore, I just cant wait till amd releases something better :d

Hmm, how can we convince your parents that you can do it yourself. Well first off show them a price comparison between like newegg and ibuyer, all the same parts, show them how much extra you are being charged. Then take like an older computer you have and just show them its all literally a matter of putting the pieces in, into the slots they fit into. And then tell them that you had a few experts, which we aren't but some people like to dream, helping you pick out the pieces and guiding you through it, and if you mess it up, then you will take full responsibility in replacing the pieces that you ruined, which you won't.

Oh and last off, tell them how great of an educational experience it will be and how valuable it would be to you and your future career dreams.

BTW what do you think they would do if instead of a box from ibuyer came you got like 3 or 4 from newegg instead?

dude, believe me, after 15 years of conning my parents into things, I thought I would be able to slip this by, but no, they said what would happen if you spent the 850 dollars, and then you screwed up something and it couldnt be repaired......I then stated that everything I bought came with a return policy and in the off chance that I did screw something up It would be replaced.........but they wouldnt buy it.....its so dumb because, they dont think I can build My own computer, but once (for example) my dad walked in while I was putting in a new video card for a older pc, He said what are you doing, and I told him, he then goes, You sure you know what you are doing, I go yea, and that was the end of it then in another example, My dad wanted a laptop so we went to best buy, computer usa, ebay, target, etc. etc. etc. and who was sitting or standing right beside him telling him half the stuff the salesperson didnt either know or wasnt telling him, ME!! Its just so retarded.........but Im still working on it.
