Here's a few dumb questions

I just want to get something right for school. I know that RAM is the memory that is currently being used, and ROM is read-only, but is there a special name for memory used in storage?

My teacher gave a definition of ROM that I'm pretty certain is wrong - that it's what I would refer to as "storage memory" if you get what I mean. I thought it was just things like BIOS etc. Can ROM refer to read-only files?

pretty much. the only other thing would be the cache (L1, L2, L3)...unless im wrong, since i DID just wake up...
