did you buy it from a computer store? Did you POST test it? I only ask this because whenever I buy hardware that is going to sit on a shelf for a few months before I use it (well mainly mobos and procs) I always POST test them before I take them home.

I am sure they are good, its just always good to double check incase the company you bought from has strict return policies (which most do).

oh... i dont know....
they appeared to be...secure the mobo's were in box on shelfs open to public, the cpu's were caged behind the counter... uh... how do i 'test' or something?

POST test is simple, it requires a known good: Motherboard, processor, ram, power, and video

It will power on to the POST screen, if you can get into the BIOS all tests good.
