The Opteron 2435 Istanbul Six-Core (2.6 gigahertz) Processor has been out for at least three months now. I haven't seen the Intel Xeon X7460 Dunnington Six-Core (2.66 gigahertz) Processor before. $3,000 is a steep price for any processor. I doubt anyone will buy it until the price comes down.

I can't believe NewEgg would charge you a $6 shipping fee if you were buying a $3,000 processor.
