what is the cheapest c2d build you can make... exclude HDD and Sound Cards, and Monitors and keyboards and stuff. cant wait to see...

who would buy it? (no computer people obviously, you have to sell to the very computer inliterate people)

well actually it blows away a dell prebuilt that claims it is "C2D powered" or whatever, and you can claim it performs better, which it does

but with XP and the HDDs in the end it will be around 600 shipped, and dells include monitors, speakers, mouses, and keyboards

who are you going to sell it to?

Hey so I have a case/psu I want to spend less than 400 on a C2D build.. mobo needs PCI-E ( i can get a gpu for 50 so anything cheaper is good) I want the mobo to support 4gigs on 2 dimms itleast and integrated graphics would be nice if it has PCI-e.... beyond that 1 gig ram dvd rom (itleast) and 120gigs HD space any reccomendations would be great....

really the bare minimum you need for a pc is a motherboard and cpu.
you could reuse your current pcs case, ram, psu, hard drive(s), optical drive(s), keyboard, mouse, and monitor. unless an upgrade is required (like the change in ddr to ddr2)

on a side note...if you just want to get the cheapest there is, theres not much use. i somewhat went that route with my current pc when i built it in october. i'm kicking myself now for not getting nicer stuff since i think i already have to upgrade it since it possibly can't handle a geforce 8800.

What makes you think that?
