Hey Guyz Help Me Out

Basically ive downloaded Vista Ultimate Onto a CD. I wanted to know that getting this of a torrent wesbite is illegal so dont cuss me down for that if you get what i mean. i just wanted to know do i need to download any drivers, dont even know what that is lol. or anything else before i put it on because i have alot of stuff i do not want missing

Tut tut tut...you do know that you may have also downloaded a load of hidden trojans and hell knows what inside with that nice free copy of vista you think you have?

Dude just buy a genuine copy.

I second the warning about trojans, forum rules, and the recommendation of that win7 for system builders link. I didn't know that existed.

Also for the sake of potential trojans you might have just nailed yourself with please note that trojans are generally very stealthy and new trojans will slip past most virus scanners.

Download a trojan specific scanner called "A squared free" from emsisoft.
http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/download/ and Hi-jack free. Hi-jack free is a great startup/registry editor/system resource scanner on steroids.

You only want A squared free for doing deep scans of your full filesystem initially and scans of files you download afterwards. Assuming you already have an active scanner of some sort you don't want to have any 'active' components of A squared free running in competition with your active anti-virus scanner. You will probably see some false positives too - like if you have Remote Administrator (Radmin) A squared free will warn you. Obviously if it's a copy you put there it should be fine but if you weren't aware it was there then it's a problem. Use of this program requires adept common sense and some saving throw against your intelligence rating.

Hi-jack free can help with cleaning up some of the mess if you run into really tricky trojans.

You can't discuss using a pirated OS here, read the forum rules. Save yourself some money, headaches and time and buy a genuine copy of an operating system.
 
Or just buy a new computer with the os on it. Either that or dont do anything too important on that copy of vista. besides, some torrenters will have multiple accounts to give themselves positives to trick downloaders
