First build: i7 3770 / ASUS P8Z77-V LK / Radeon HD 6850?
So I've never built a computer before and after a bit of hardware research, how it works and how parts fit together, I was looking for some feedback about a particular motherboard/processor/graphics card combination I've been eyeing.
CPU: Intel Core i7 3770 Quad Core Hyperthreading Processor LGA1155 3.4GHZ Ivy Bridge 8MB Retail
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V Lk ATX LGA1155 Z77 DDR3 3PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 3PCI SATA3 SLI DVI HDMI DP USB3.0 Motherboard
Graphics Card: Gigabyte Radeon HD 6850 Windforce 820MHZ 1GB 4.2GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI HDMI Display Port PCI-E Video Card
Right now, this combination alone would cost me roughly $600 CAD. I don't have a hard budget in mind for this new machine, but obviously, the cheaper and the better value for my money I'm getting, the better. I'm probably not too interested in spending over, at the most, $900 - and I'd be thrilled if I could build it for under $850. From what I can tell, the three parts would fit together just fine.
My main questions for now are:
1. Am I right in thinking all of these parts would integrate perfectly?
2. Are there better value buys out there for similar quality?
3. Have I allotted too much for these three parts alone to fit under my budget?
I really appreciate any help I can get with this. I'm kind of apprehensive about the whole project right now, to be honest! Talk about information overload, haha
