Hi, a little help needed again. I doubt this will take long.

I tried google search, and I can only find information about searching for an unindexed file. I want to create an unindexed folder, in other words a folder that won't be picked up in Windows search. How would i go about doing this?

Create the folder. Right click and go to properties. Click Advanced at the bottom, and untick the box that says "Allo w files in this folder to have contents indexed in addition to file properties."

Also when done with that, click okay and tick the "Hidden" box. Just be sure in the viewing properties that hidden files and folders isn't selected.

Thanks, ok I have an unindexed folder now...but it's still showing up in search. How would I go about making it unable to be searched on my computer?

Oh, I also used command prompt to put in the "attrib +s +h" command on the folder i want unsearchable...when I search in the start menu search, the folder and all it's contents come up.

Thanks for your help. I just downloaded and installed My Lockbox...it seems to be doing what I need it to do. Thanks again.
