Hello, i have a Dell Inspiron 8600, bought on the year 2005. I have a video card problem with it. iI don't know actually what it is but it says this on the video card properties:

Windows successfully loaded the device driver for this hardware but cannot find the hardware device. (Code 41)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

This annoys the hell out of me, i want to play games and stuff, but can't because of this.

Help! Please

Your computer is saying that it's not detecting any video card. Did you connect everything properly? Like if it requires a 6 pin power connector

Use system restore to go back before it had this problem, and then review what automatic windows updates may have caused this.

Vista is fine, but anyhoo

Go to Start Menu, All programs, system, system restore. Then restore to a point in time before this happened.

Do you have a XP install cd?

In the meantime, download PC Wizard from my sig, install and run it. Then go to FILE, SAVE AS and click OK. Then copy the text out of that file into this thread.

i think so.

lol vista takes a pretty high end computer for it to run... but yes use system restore
start->programs->Accessories->System Tools->system restore assuming that it is on in the first place

big fellla, that didn't work :D same old same old.

any other ideas? i want to get my computer running in time for a lan party next weekend.

I don't know whats wrong then. If you followed my instructions exactly, then it should've fixed it. You may have a hardware failure.
