Hi! I want to buy a laptop tomorrow, no clue which one is better! help please?:)

So ive decided to buy myself another laptop..This one doesn't seem to be doing too well anymore.. But I dont know which one is better? one is a hp dv7 and one is a dv6 so it sounds like dv7 (with a higher number) would naturally be more advanced.. but when I asked my friend he said hed take the dv6.. I will include links to both, any help on which one would be better please let me know! Oh and my mom just started playing wow and she has no idea what shes doing lol.. I want to reactivate my account to go help her so thats a reason why I want a laptop so id like it to be a good gaming laptop, if that helps the decision.. Thanks a bunch :D

What are you looking to do with it and how much do you want to spend? I'm not a fan of HP.
 
they are both the same prace, but the dv7 is on salle 100$ off for the next few days.. like I said a bit of world of warcraft gaming, watching movies and videos, facebook etc? is one better for one thing and the other better at something else? what would they be good at respectively if so.?
 
I also have a lot of modelling pics on my comp that are very high resolution pictures, like poster quality etc they take longer to load than any other pics I have, so Id want to be able to look at them and load them etc in minimal time :)
 
They are both 799$, but regardless of price which one do you recommend? the dv7 is on sale for 699$ for a few days but I dont mind paying the extra 100$ if the other one is better and worth it!
 
the DV line of HP laptops are the worst i've used, i would suggest looking into other brand like asus, MSI, Lenovo.

laptop buying is only few hour job if you go to Best buy and tell the geek squad what you want to do and they'll pick you closest to what you need (even if it's not the best on spec or on price). researching and reading reviews will help, give it till sunday least to get right one as they won't be able to get shipment out till monday.
