Hiccup Problem

It seems that my PC (see signature) likes to have these minature "hiccups" when doing multiplayer gaming. It will just freeze for like 10 seconds for no reason. sometimes in gameplay, somtimes in the main menu.

The games it affects are CoD2/BF2/BF1942- so it seems like them all ;)

Its not a internet connection that I know of b/c it happens in single-player as well. i have all patches for everything/ drivers for all hardware/ every XP update except for the "Genuine" one.

Is this my OS (winXP) telling me to reformat? Its only been like 3 months.

Try to kill some processes through the task manager (Windows XP) and close some programs you won't need while playing your game.
Your lucky. My computer usally completely freezes when I try to play memory-heavy games like those.
