can anyone help me hide my ip address through windows or third party software because some dude is hacking my pc

You can get a piece a software that is like a Firefox extension. It allows the user to surf the web without your ip address being known. If thats that the sort of thing your after then just say so. I try and get the name of the program for you.

Download Firefox browser (www.getfirefox.com) and download the extension SWITCHPROXY. (http://mozmonkey.com/switchproxy/)

Now, go to switchproxy preference and load this URL
http://www.steganos.com/?area=updateproxylist.

This will load tons of proxies.

When you activate Switchproxy, your ip address will change every 4 - 8 seconds based on your preference.

NOTE: HOWEVER, sites that require you to store cookies can record your random IP in each cookie. And if your unique ID is discovered in another cookie during the same session they will still know your IP. Not exactly sure how it works 100%, but it's not bullet proof security. However a good program.

I cant imagine how that gets llegalized :P
Norton Ghost maybe?

Ghost 2005 isn't free, only a 15 day trial:(

I'm trying out "Anonymous Guest" now and it's free, but the Help file isn't any "help." :(

The list on that steganos site, IMO, is never accurate nor updated. I always ran into dead proxy servers and/or terribly slow ones. With that said, I am not negating the program or its uses. It is a very good extension for firefox.
