hiding file extensions

Usually schools ban Video and MP3 file extension with EXE and others.
The software installed usually moniters only the browsers installed on the computer...:)

Yes but if they ban them then it's not the right of the user to bypass it, if they need to download something do it at home or talk to the network manager. :)

And some filters check ingoing and outgoing information and it's not dependent on the browser.
