High CPU Tin, normal core temps, i7 2600

This morning this computer shut down on it's own, and then restarted normally.
The mobo is an Asus P8H67-M EVO.
Because of the shutdown, I thought to check the temperature. SpeedFan shows a CPU temp of 89C, while core temps are below 30C. I then went to BIOS and looked at the temperature there and is was normal. Supposing the CPU Tin is a bad reading, what should I do? Could that have cause the shutdown?

Speedfan is pretty bad for reading temps. Download and run realtemp or Coretemp.
