high speed network cards

INTEL PRO/1000 GT DESKTOP PCI NETWORK INTERFACE CARD ADAPTER

will this make a difference in my new PC?? I can get one for 30$ , but i do not think it is worth it....what does everyone else think? I do some online gaming, with this really make a huge difference over the OEM onboard 10/100 network card?

i did not think so...this is a 10/100/1000 card though, will it not make any dif. (no i do not have a gigy network)

normal internet speed is 3mb to 12mb. so anything over that speed is pretty much waisted. only beneficial for LAN transfers/video streaming. most games are built around the 3-12 mb internet speed factor.
