High speed USB port

How do you find out which is the high-speed USB port 2.0? I keep getting a message telling me that my printer will work faster if it is plugged into this port. Also, I bought a camcorder the other day and the computer doesn't seem to recognise it. I am wondering if it should be plugged into the USB 2.0. I have installed all the drivers but nothing happens when I plugged the camera into the computer, and yes it is turned on

Plugging something in like that is usually the easiest way to find out... Try different ports as some older machines might only have a single USB2.0 channel(like my dad's computer...really strange)

Typically you don't need any drivers, but it probably wouldn't hurt to look around for some. A select few boards require some drivers, but usally it's for older OS's...

I don't know for sure, but some software like everest might tell you if your USB2.0. Sometimes it says in Device Manager, but I checked on this machine at school and it dosen't(and I know these are...)
