high temp

i just ran speed fan the see my temps and temp3 is pretty high and i have no fans in my case (getting new case Wednesday) so i took the side panel off and pointed a fan ment for a room into the case but the temp never changed so i shut off pc for 20 min with the fan still blowing in it and i turned the pc agen but the temp is still 73c so now I'm wondering what chip on my mobo is temp 3 .

is it a custom built comp, or a dell/hp/gateway type of deal?
if its custom built then id say its either a defective temp sensor or a crap heatsink application.

its a custom built computer but i think its a defective sensor because a touched every heat sick and chip and one heat sink was a warm but wasn't no 73c maybe 30 or so.

ok i took out my infrared thermometer and pointed it at all my heat sinks and speed fan was within a few degres on every thing except the heat sink that felt warm with speed fan said it was 73c but it was only 38c witch is not bad at all.
