higher p4 clock then the mobo suports

my mobo suports 2.6GHz 400fsb p4 max.

I have been looking for 2.6ghz cpu but can't seems to find it any ware.

i know 800fsb cpu runs slower in a mobo that suports a 400fsb p4 but what about a 2.8GHz p4 with 400fsb? will it run slower or will it just run at 2.6 ghz max since 2.6ghz is the highest my mobo will supports?

there is no 2.8ghz p4 with a 400mhz fsb. the mobo's limit is the fsb, not hte processor speed. anything with a 400mhz fsb SHOULD work.
