Higher resolution

Hi,

I have an oldish Dell Dimension 2300 which has onboard graphics supporting up to 1024 x 768. I would like to use a large monitor and increase the resolution. It looks as though many modern cards use PCIE (?) interface. Would there be a probelm in plugging the card into a PCI slot. I was thinking about using the Radeon HD2400 Pro 512MB DDR2 PCIE DVI. Would this work, or can somebody suggest an alternative?

Many thanks, R.

U cant put any video card on that computer cos it doesnt have a PCI-E or AGP slot an no u cant put a video card on to a norm PCI slot it wont fit.

If this is your socket

Then yes a PCI 8500GT / 9400GT From Sparle will do what you want :)
