Hello, I am new here. I am here because I have a problem.

I have an HPf1905 Monitor 19"LCD That has a maximum resolution of 1280 X 1024.

This happens more than once, but after restarting my computer at 1280 X 1024 Resolution, It goes down to 1024 X 768. I goto control panel > display and then settings it says that my highest resolution is at 1024 X 768. As in I cannot take that slidebar and move it anymore to the right.

Before you reply with 1 answer, Can you list as MANY answers as you possible can so I dont have to wait for you to reply after you make 1. Thanks alot everybody.

you are using windows vista, you are not using the latest driver. your monitor driver is not installed, your monitor's max resolution is 1024x768. you can force the unsupported resolution but it may damage your monitor.

Did you install the latest drivers for your video card?

Did you install drivers for your monitor?

Did you try settings the resolution with the nVidia or ATI control panel?

Go to Start > Run > dxdiag > Display, and tell us what it says is enabled and/or disabled.
