guys everytime I run an adware scan on my parents computer, I find a ton of malware every 2 days. Looks like the nortons is workin I guess. but are there any other tests I could run/ also let me know regarding the the log below. thanks....

Yeh, your infected.Lets do some cleanup first.Please do the following.

Download http://www.ewido.net/en/download/ then set it up this way http://rstones12.geekstogo.com/ewidosetup.htm You will need this later in safe mode and make sure you update it.

Please download ATF-Cleaner to your desktop from this link

Next follow these directions to reboot into safemode http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...001052409420406?OpenDocument&src=sec_doc_nam/

Run Ewido and let it delete all that it finds.

Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

Reboot into normal mode and run this free online scan http://www.bitdefender.com/ca/

Once completed, run HJT again and post the log.

thanks for the help, now does the ewido protect me from any potential malware or the antivirus should?

Ewido has a realtime guard which protects against trojans very well.When the 2 week trial ends, you can only use it on demand unless you purchase it.Still on demand works very well.

anyway we can disable the ewido ad to stop popping up every ten seconds informing you about an infection?

Yes.There should be 2 entries on the bottom left when the infection box pops up.Leave the first one 'quarintine' unchecked but put a check in the second box.Then it will not keep popping up.
