Please, don't do anything else on the computer while working with these programs. Perform all the below in normal boot, NOT safe mode.

If pop-up windows are appearing, and/or telling you that your files are infected and/or saying you need to buy something, DONT BELIEVE IT AND DONT CLICK ON THOSE WINDOWS AT ALL!

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware HERE or HERE and save it to your desktop.

  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
    o Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    o and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware​
  • then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. Please keep updating until it says you have the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • A log will be saved automatically which you can access by clicking on the Logs tab within Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

NOTE! If for some reason Malwarebytes will not install or run please download these files:Rkill.scr, Rkill.exe, or Rkill.com.

First, run the .SCR file by clicking it. If a black window opens then closes (or you get a message from the infection that RKill is infected) run the file again (DO NOT click on the message box from the infection), do this until it generates a log of processes stopped. If .SCR will not run at all, try the .EXE, if the .EXE wont work then use the .COM until one of them gives you a log. Then work to install or run Malwarebytes.

DO NOT reboot immediately after running RKill because doing so will deactivate RKill and you will have to run it again. Just run RKill then malwarebytes, then HijackThis. Dont reboot until told to do so.

Now generate a new HijackThis log

Most of what HijackThis lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

Post the logfile that HijackThis produces along with the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware log and a detailed description of the problems you are experiencing.
 
Problems: Gmail account hijacked. 1 email sent to 90 contacts. Have since changed passwords (With Iphone).

When I go a specific website it redirects to a website that requests a certificate acceptance..

I just want to make sure my email/computer is clean..

I would like to see a combofix log.

You will need to disable nortons before running.

Download and Run ComboFix
If you already have Combofix, please delete this copy and download it again as it's being updated regularly.
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall

Combofix should never take more that 20 minutes including the reboot if malware is detected.


In your next reply please post:
  • The ComboFix log
  • A fresh HiJackThis log
  • An update on how your computer is running

It is a work computer and I work for ATAC. The IP Address in Kansas is for Verizon Wireless AirCard. I have Admin access, and would like to fix it so i dont have to be with a computer for 2 weeks..

There are 2 things that are weird about the computer:

1. When I go to OregonScientific.com it redirects to another website in HongKong (Dont want to post it as someone might click on it)..
2. When typing anywhere the mouse cursor will be moved to a random location, and what im typing will be entered somewhere else in the text.. (It has happened 3 times while I was writing this.)

I tried to turn off Norton, but It is locked on by Admin.. So I cant run the ComboFix Scanner. AnyThing else?

I had a feeling this was a work computer. We really cant help you since its a work computer. Talk to the appropriate department at work about getting it cleaned.
