So ive been trying to make sure all my computers are up to par before i go back to school, i actually had a virus on my desktop computer this past week or so, so i wanted to make sure everything was ok with my laptop. I recently changed from avg to avira and i installed comodo firewall. When i ran the avira scan it actually found one trojan and 2 spyware things that avg hadn't found. Have you ran malwarebytes antimalware on your system?

Then click on fix checked at the bottom.

You are running older version of Java and Acrobat reader. Please go into add/remove programs and uninstall all version of both programs and then go here and download the latest version of each.

Make sure uncheck the box that says mcafee security scan.

You also have viewpoint software installed, this is considered foistware and and not malware, so go into add/remove programs and uninstall anything that says viewpoint.

Again, if you haven't ran Malwarebytes on your system yet, I highly recommend it. Get it here and update it fully before running it.

i had a couple of questions before i proceed with your instructions, so ok my questions are is it really good to check the box next to this one, because dont i want i want the latest version of the software on my computer?

Both of those 04 entries are unneeded at bootup, and thats what putting a check next to the entry and clicking fix checked will do. It will stop it from running at bootup.

As far as all those java entries in add/remove programs, you need to remove all of them first and then download the lastest version from the website I gave you.
 
im sorry if i seem annoying but before i go and change something im trying to understand the difference between things. So now with the java, i can uninstall the JRE and JDK and updates and download what you gave me and that has everything i need? im just asking because for school we do java programming and i dont want to have that messed up.
 
Running outdated versions of java is asking for problems. The java and j2se runtime needs to be uninstalled. The JDK is the developer version? I would check with your school to verify what the latest version is.

Then click on fix checked at the bottom. Most of those entries are programs that are not needed to run at bootup.
 
just for my own knowledge is putting a check on those 04 ones the same as going into msconfig startup and unchecking them?
