hiren's boot cd

hey im trying to use hiren's boot cd to fix some issues im having with my computer, but ive never had to do anything like this before. so how exactly do i use the boot cd? i downloaded the files (i think its the correct one) and i thought i burnt them to a cd, but it keeps booting from my hard drive (and yes, i did change the boot priority in the bios)
 
For a lot of motherboards you have to press a key to get it to boot from CD. If you don't within a certain amount of time, it will move on to the next boot device.
 
As far as I know I did. I can access the programs when I open the cd from My Computer, but I can't boot from it.
 
have u check boot pirority .. in your bio's .. make sure ur DVD(or cd rom or any other optical drive(hd dvd, blue ray etc)) rom is set higher pirority than ur boot harddrive .. or any other bootable device infact...
