I was unsure if this was a malware issue initially, and after posting this I googled it and in other forums with the same problem confirmed it was. Ran malware scan and it picked up two files. Hopefully issue resolved.


I checked my IE history and discovered there are numerous sites that I definitely did not visit. These appear under yesterday's history, examples:


and many others.

I am the sole user of the PC. Running XP Pro SP3, using latest version of Norton 360.

Not as many today but a few eg

(when right clicked on properties, times visited = 9, others 3 or 4)

I agree. If you look at the urls of those sites that you posted, they are all about diet and clothing which is most popups. You should try and run a pop-up blocker. It might also be malware that generates those pop-ups.
