Hey Buzz, its me. (the peirced eyes are doing ok lol)

Anyways my friend came to me asking about his comp. Looks like the usually, but pretty bad. For some reason regseeker will not delete what it finds. I'll get the error to you later, but I'll most likly google it and fix it that way. It was a bummer cause it found over 1,700 problems.

Did you uninstall NewDotNet, it usually removes these entries.

Download LSPfix.
http://www.cexx.org/LSPFix.exe

Install and run the program, select "I know what I'm doing" :D
Move any New.Net entries from the left pane to the right.
Then hit "Finish".

Run Hijackthis and select "Do a system scan only", place a check by the following entries.

R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = about:blank
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = about:blank

Close all open windows and browsers, and hit "Fix Checked".

Reboot and post a new log, along with your paypal details. :)
 
Ok here is the updated log.
I do have a couple of questions though. He doesn't use anything yahoo. There are tons of entrys in the log dealing with yahoo. I'm just wondering you can get rid of them if they don't use yahoo, or not ?

All that Yahoo stuff probably came bundled with something, fix all the Hijackthis entries, then check add\remove programs. That NewDotNet 04 is still there, try fixing it in safemode or deleting the .dll file.

Hit Start >Run, type services.msc.
Scroll down until you find the service AOL Connectivity Service, and double-click on it.
Hit "Stop" and change the "Startup Type" to "Disabled".
Hit "Apply", then "Ok".

Do the same for this service.

WAN Miniport (ATW) Service

Please run HijackThis and click Config -> Misc Tools -> Delete an NT service. In the Delete window, type AOL ACS and press OK. OK any prompts.

Do the same with this.
