I was just looking at my comps specs, and my video card seems like a bit of a black sheep, i mean, like, everything else is fairly good, and then theres the card, its a good card, but i just want better. Do you guya think i should buy a new one. I like the 6800 ultra, but i dont think that i would see much of a difference, or would i, whats so great about high end video cards... HELP!

256MB video card doesn't necessarily mean its good...look at things like memory bus width, memory speed, core speed and number of pixel and vertex shaders to get a more accurate perfomance comparision

no, im well aware of what card i have, i just never put it in my post its an fx5700le i typed xfx my bad. And cromewell i know that 256 dont mean that its good, thats why im asking if i should update to a more high end card :) . for what i payed for its great, but for playing doom3, i was just wondoring if theres that much of a difference with the graphics, cause its not that cheap of an upgrade! :)

my answer still applies, look at the various features of your card and compare it to another one to get a general idea of what would be better then look for someone who benchmarked them both (which is very easy, tomshardware makes up for crappyness by benchmarking 12 billion semi comparable cards/processors/whatever per review)
