Hey guys,
At this time, I'm using VDS/VPS for all 4 of my websites, but am getting sick of the .25-1.5% downtime every month, as well as the $50/mo charge.. so I'm considering doing a home-based web server for my sites. I've already checked out and tried dozens of VDS/VPS's and fully dedicated servers through a third party host are far too expensive per month.
I can get the hardware to do so, that's no problem.. but will my home internet connection be suitable for this? I have dual connections - 6Mbps / 1.5Mbps and 7Mbps / 2Mbps (second one is burstable to 21Mbps / 6Mbps).
So, is it realistic to try and run my websites from a home based web server? Do I need a better connection to the web for it?

PS: I'm also aware that a UPS would be in order, which won't be a problem.
