I built a high end gaming PC, and use a 42 inch Plasma screen as a monitor. . I am currently in the market to buy a sound system, and i was curious to know if there are remote controls that work for computers ( for audio players). has anyone heard of anyone doing that? I have an external hard drive where i keep all of my movies and music, and i would like to be able to pause, fast forward rewind ect ect ect via remote control. I want the same remote control for the computer, the tv, and sound system. any suggestions on where to look?

You'll have to get a pretty advanced all-in-one remote. Check our the Logitech Harmony, I know that can control receivers, TVs, computers etc.

It seems that if i were to get a remote that works on the computer, it would need some sort of pci slot or usb device, i dont think my computer wouldbe able to work without something in the comnputer that allows the remote to work. i could be wrong though
