Home vs. Pro

whats the big difference? everyone says home is t3h s0x0R. i have used home on a very very bogged down system but havent seen pro. all i know is home is cheaper.

there isnt a big difference... pro has a couple aplications to attract companies to pay more to get that... nothing very interesting or crucial.. ie. remote desktop (where you can access the files/programs of the computer with pro on it over the internet)

get pro, there were so many times i wanted to do something with home that i could only do with pro. for one thing, managing user accounts. . .

i guess if u dont do much of anything like that, than u would be fine with home tho. . .

Home = NO domain or network support. Home does not support netowrking features on a very large scale..so if you have a domain like i do and a home network...get PRO!

I used Pro for long time, now i have to use Home since no more cd-keys for Pro...and it's a nightmare.

Every reboot i had to re-install printers, and re-map network drives. EVERY REBOOT! it was soo annoying. And for some reason i had to reset my router because it would block my MAC address after every reboot. Pro never did this.

I ended up having to write my own batch and .vbs startup files in order for my computer to manually re-connect all network drives and printers, send my credentials, and not ask me to authenticate every time i want to sue one of them.

it's tedious...and took days to actually finish. And as someone else stated, managing accounts is a pain as well. I've already got a problem. i can't rename my account...even thoug M$ says i can with Home. It doesn't work:(

GET PRO!
