Hooking a Laptop to a Flat Panel TV

What part do I need to buy to be able to view whats on my laptop, on my flatpanel? The Flatpanel TV is HD compatible if that matters....I just want to be able to see whats on my laptop on my TV.

I have both HDMI and S-Video connectors in my flatpanel.

Is there a part on like New Egg that I can buy for this?

What do you have on your laptop. My parents laptops have DVI output and VGA output. you probably have one of those two. check these out or search dvi cable on newegg.
