Hooking xbox up through pc

Well this should be simple enough, but this is where I become oblivious. My computer specs are lisited below, my graphics card is a 7800gt. I should be able to just hook up the adapter an go from there right? I have read about a beta driver I might need, anyone know anything about that? Also what is the difference between, the HDTV&VIVO Cable and S-Video Cable.

I have never been a console fan, I have always been 100% towards pc. However my roomate likes to play xbox, so I though I might as well hook it up to my pc so he can get better sound and a nicer display.

Thanks a bunch, Bob.

Yes, it should work just fine though the 7800GT.

HD/VIVO cable has just that...Component out, RCA out, S-VHS-out RCA in, and S-VHS in. S-Vid is only S-Vid out.

My TV tuner card came with AV in cables and i just plugged it in and it worked just fine. I cant see why it wouldnt work for you.

Ok, lets say that I have everything hooked up correctly (which I think I don't lol) is there any setting that I have to change on the software side? Or once everything is hooked up do I then just turn it on the xbox and it works?

Ok, so this is what I am working with. http://www.vgaclub.co.kr/zboard/data/mrpardon_pic/vivo_cable_1h.jpg (Front: Green is Y, Blue is Pb/Comp, Red is Pr and then you have svid out)

http://www.vgaclub.co.kr/zboard/data/mrpardon_pic/vivo_cable_2h.jpg (Back: Yellow is video in, and then svid in)

Ok so then I have the three cables from the xbox (yellow, red and white) Are they all just color coded? Cause I have never heard of Pr for red lol. And if they are just color coded, then it would be yellow for video in and red for pr. Since there is no white port, is it not used?

Also- what is this WDM v4.13 driver/ forceware

Yes, they are color coded. Yellow goes to yellow. Red and white go to your sound card...you'll probably need a converter for RCA to headphone.
