Desktop Dell inspiron 530 new proc and vid card (installed over a year)

Recent changes (attempted install of some weird mtg: game)

The computer worked for a while after the botched install.

The problem is that it acts as if a key is stuck on the keyboard from boot. A key like the up arrow and possibly others. When you boot into Windows you can't do anything because the the selector is going crazy. If you hit windows orb the selector starts in gong through the list the same way it would if you held the up arrow key pressed down.

This is happening in windows install, bios setup, everywhere all the time. Ran AVG rescue CD nothing (had to time hitting enter at the right time activate desired operation). I've switched keyboards, Disconnected both keyboard and mouse, everything before during and after boot. No matter what Same thing computer acts like a key is stuck.

TL/DR I think the motherboard may be fried but I'd like a second opinion. :D

Try this.

Remove power from power supply. Remove cmos battery from motherboard, press the power button for 10 seconds. Then wait 10 minutes and reinsert battery and power and try booting up and see what happens.

Thanks! Will do when I get home later this evening. I had exhausted everything I knew to do!
