I'm online just doing my online thing, and suddenly the mouse cursor turns into a a white line. It's outside the browser, so I decide to restart my computer. Well, now it won't load windows.I've tried automatic repairs 4 times and it says that a bad driver may be causing the problem. The only thing I've recently installed was blackberry desktop manager. It had 2 drivers with it, so I tried the system restore, but no luck. I'm on asus express gate right now, but I'm freaking out a bit. When I boot and skip the auto repair, i get the windows 7 logo, then i get a memory dump blue screen and the computer restarts. I need help please.

Well, I tried safe mode, but it gave me the same thing, regardless, I simply reinstalled and luckily i had a recent backup so not all was lost. But then i did something i guess could be called stupid. I remembered i had a ubuntu disk laying around so i was able to use it to put some files on my other partition, which was great. after that instead of having to use a disk, i wanted to have a live ubuntu on my portable harddrive. so i boot from the live disk and proceed to partition some space of the harddrive and install it, well...now i cant load windows without that hardrive plugged in. what can i do to fix that, and whats the proper way to install ubuntu on my harddrive?
