hops to get to CF?!

well i checked out how many hops it takes for connection to get from me to CF... well at least thats how i understand it. and heres what i got.

what is all that? like the first few are to my server and then to my ISP. but why are there so many hops to get to CF?

i never realised it had to do that much...

anyway i was just wondering about it. :)
 
it works but after its stopped counting the window closes before i can screenshot it.

this happens to me all the time in Dos? :cool:
 
Seems too me that it pinged a shorter time to cross the Atlantic Ocean than to find it's way around the USA :D
 
Not sure myself other than how many servers you pass through from your host to computerforum's host. As you live in the USA youv'e got a shorter hop to get their.

Don't know why there are three columns of times (ms) though:confused:

Edit - Apparently each hop is tested 3 times and if we had used this when the Forum was slow it would have showed where the problem was.

ok well i suppose this didnt actually warrant a thread but i just thought it was interesting to see what ppl got :)
