Host1Plus or GoDaddy

Hello,

Need information about these two hosting companies.

I'm interested in those two hosting companies, need some information from you guys.
It would be better as fast as possible, because at the moment planning to develop little web service and few blogs.

Found Host1Plus and GoDaddy offers its hosting.
Some time ago I had account on dreamhost, but I don't like it.

My friend using JustHost, but now its services going bad and bad... So please don't offer it :)

Please share your opinions and your own experience.
 
As always, I suggest Zanyhost. For $8/mo, you get virtual private hosting,
which guarantees server resources. Shared hosting does not guarantee
resources - it's bad for hosting PHP scripts like blog software.
 
My website (signature) is hosted on hostgator. I've never tried GoDaddy, but apparently it's dreadful. Hostgator has "fantastico delux" which allows for auto-install of some scripts. It took my about an hour to purchase my site from hostgator and have it up and running wordpress. Went to sleep, woke up about 9 hours later and it was DNS registered (www. )
 
Also, in reply to Euklid. Hostgator has 99.97% uptime. And even though it's shared to show you the current stats on the server:

Server Load 0.92 (8 cpus)
Memory Used 11.2 %

Everything else is up and their is more than enough storage left. Hostgator offers unlimited bandwidth and storage.
 
Never buy your domain from the web host. Buy it from a domain reseller like Dynadot
or GoDaddy.

When you want to move hosting companies, they will steal your domain, and you won't
be able to redirect the traffic you built up to that website to your new host.

I was making $300 a month from GoogleAds and then my hosting expired. The next
day, they parked their website with ads on my domain, and I was never able to
recover it.

Monitor your website at http://mon.itor.us and tell me within a month what
it reports your uptime to be. It doesn't matter how much CPU or memory is
being used now, the peak hours are 4pm to 6pm. Peak days are Friday and
Saturday.

Unlimited bandwidth and storage? Set up video hosting on your website and
tell me what happens when you wake up one morning. Unlimited - as long
as you don't strain their servers with "excessive" usage, whatever that
may be, it's up to them to decided.
 
I certainly wont disagree with the words that unlimited doesn't exactly mean unlimited - and gratefully i don't have to host video.

Myself being uneducated - I have to ask about the domain/hosting. Couldn't you rebuy the domain?

I don't like thease "unlimited" Hosts.. There service is rubish!

Thats Y i host m self. Of my own hardware. And the server is in my sucure stack in my workshop.

So i know it won't fail :)

Also i offer hosting to others from £0.50 - $0.70 ...... PM ME ;)

I've been with lunar pages for years now and I don't have any complaints. Thier phone support really is pretty good and I've never been able to catch one of my sites down.
