I'm kind of confused on hosting a game. When i host a game (in CSS), none of my friends can join over xfire, there's always some kind of error about unable to connect after 4 attemps. Also, how many ppl do you think i can host in a game of CSS with my computer?

Well most likely you would need to setup port forwarding, and what IP are you giving them?

And we need to know your internet speed to determine how many people you can host.

sorry big noob to this part..lol.

I googled some speed tests and ran one. I got

1131kbps down
and
131kbps up

yes..i have the cheap dsl.

With those speeds i bet you can only have a few people in the server, since its the UP speed that matters alot when hosting a game.
