Hot-Swap SATA HDD's

We got an HP ProLiant ML110 server that we're converting to a file server. I'm looking for good/affordable hot-swap SATA HDDs. We currently have close to 450gb of data that will be stored on it, and we want to plan for the future. The server can hold 4 SATA drives, so they need to be more than 250gb drives, because we're setting up RAID 1 for the server.

Can someone help me find these HDDs?

It depends on the backplane. Some backplanes don't do well with some drives. Probably the best drive for your spec and application would be the RE drives from WD. However some backplanes don't work well with RE drives. The Supermicro CSE-SAS-816A comes to mind. Another good drive, but with a bit of a premium, is the Maxtor Maxline III if you can find them.

Tigerdirect.com has 500gb barracuda for $119

yes but is it hot-swappable?

The Maxline III is only 250GB - I'm looking for more than that per drive. Looking for an HDD>250 not >=250

They are hot-swappable, and yes they're deactivated there. I only showed it to you because you said they were only 250MB.

They're hard to find, that's why I said "if you can find them".

yeah. I'm going to hafta look around a lot. I can find them 250gb no problem, but after that, it's tough to find em.
