I have just had a new pc and the fan seems to shake the tower because of the heat.

Its a p4 550 3.4ghz,the cpu temp from boot is running at 90 degrees celcius and the fan is running at 4500rpm.

It was running at 70+ so it went back,i have just had it back and those are the stats above and they said there is nothing they can do.

The comp is only 3 months old.
 
If you seriously hitting 90 degrees c, u need to evaluate quick, not even joking that will fry ur proc..are u sure its in degrees c and not farenheight, if it was in farenheight then ud be fine..You might need an updated bios to fix the problem. But if u want a great cpu cooler go for the thermaltake silent tower, does wonders.
 
I agree. If your chip does run at that temp it would burn up instantly. My PC runs at 85 Degrees, and thats only farenheit! Well, get some water cooling, or an accurate thermometer. I think you could open up the case and see by sticking your head in. If your face burns off and you die, Ill bet your thermometer was right. if you dont feel a thing, get a new thermometer!
