How 2 reformat computer with boot disk? with out losing Music files and stuff.?

Hi i want 2 kno how 2 reformat a Computer using a Boot Disk the operating System is Windows Me, with out losing my music files and stuff or how do i reinstall windows? thanks
 
you will lose the files if you only have one partition so i would back them up before doing the format.


reinstall windows just leave the cd in the drive and restart the computer go into bios setup and set the cd rom to first boot device.

i believe you'll need to make a floppy boot disc for windows me.

u need to connect your computer to another computer and backup the files u care about(or put them in a dvd) after that u can easily format...

Win me needs a floppy to get cdrom support first,but maybe changeing cmos boot to start there will work.Get a floppy and save the headache.
I can email the contents.
