This falls into the trojan downloader catagory of malware. The AVG antispyware tool there was formerly known as Ewido until Grisoft bought that out. Another spyware remover to try on this is the Spyware Terminator also a freeware and not some shareware where you are told you have to buy a full retail version to remove something. The usuall advice besides a manual removal of the worm file found is to post a HiJack This log since it creates new startup entries in the system registry that need to be removed as well. This also likes to spread around in order to self generate itself. Turning off the system restore feature in XP will prevent that by wiping any infected restore points.

There is one tool you can download and post a log that shows any registry entries in order to remove anything found there. One mentioned earlier is the HiJack This freeware found at http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/programs.php

I have used Prevx1 to remove this infection where a lot of other applications have failed. The strangest part about this, is that it is quite an old infection and all the big players STILL can't remove it. Very odd.

The AVG Anti-Spyware Remover is the 30day full trial version of Grisoft's retail version of Ewido since they bought it out. As far as "big players" not being able to remove something that's not new. Often you need a specific removal tool for this or that type of malware. The Raymon.exe infection is only as old as XP there. XP just had it's 6th birthday.
